Lucy Schwartz & Charity Water – Life in Letters (Underwater Music Video)

LAを拠点に活動するSSW、Lucy Schwartz 最新作となるアルバム “Life In Letters” からタイトルトラックとなる Life in Letters の Charity:Water バージョンのMVが完成しました。

Almost a billion people on earth live without clean water. Through music and the spirit of giving, we can make that number smaller!

I look at water as a mystical and powerful life-force–an element that has great beauty and an element that is, in a strange way, a part of us. The human body is 65% water. We are connected to water, and that’s why I feel I am drawn drawn to it and I often express the visual side of my music through underwater photography and film.

My latest “Life in Letters” music video takes place underwater. Since water is such an important element in the video, I thought it’d be a great opportunity to give back– to do something to help bring more clean water to the world. Thanks for joining me!

Charity:Water とは、Scott Harrison こと有名なパーティークラッシャーが、自分の人生を見つめ直し2006年設立した非営利団体。世界中にきれいで安全な飲み水を配給するという壮大なミッションを掲げている。

プロジェクトは貧困に苦しむ地域で安全できれいな水を提供するため井戸を造る活動に取り組んでいます。この活動で集めた資金は100％井戸建設プロジェクトの費用に使われます。これまでの16ヶ月間に、268個の井戸建設に資金提供してきました。全てが完成するとアフリカ8カ国で15万人が安全な水を得ることができるようになります。またその成果を実証するために、ボランティアの人々が実際にその目で井戸を確認すると共に、ウェブサイト内で Google Earth を通じて写真と GPS により位置を確認できるようになっている。
